For our fifth photo assignment, our task was to choose a category and go have a photoshoot. This week, I took a step out of my comfort zone and decided to try light painting. I don't really know anything about this type of photography, but I've seen pictures and they look super cool. I borrowed a tripod and used my phone for a light source (I really wanted to use glow sticks but the grocery store was all out). I used innovative ways to change the color and pattern of the light. For example I would put my hand over it to change the color red. Shutter speed- 15 seconds, Aperture- f/7.1, ISO-100 I had a lot of fun with this assignment and I will be trying light painting again! Next time, I want to experiment with more textures and colors of the light source, but I think these are pretty good photos for my first time trying. I shot these at night in my living room, and had my Dad model for some of them. This assignment required me to use creativity and to have LOTS of patience.

All of these photos are really cool! I really like the one with the clown mask because the light compliments it.

I thought you did a really good job making sure the subject was in focus.

Like all of your photos however I would move some of the objects out of the photo so we will not be distracted by them. Otherwise great job!

I really like your photos but one thing I would suggest doing is darkening the background in photoshop since it is a bit distracting. Other than that, the subjects of your photos are really in focus and the lights you used are very bright and good looking.
