For our third photo assignment, our task was to choose a category and go have a photoshoot. This week, I chose black and white. The homecoming dance was Saturday night and my friend, Erin, came over to get ready. Since her dress was black and simple, I thought that taking portraits of her and turning them black and white would suit the style I was going for. We shot around golden hour so we got some really backlit images. I love how some of them have the effect of sun flares and exposure. Shutter speed- 1/4000, Aperture- f/1.8, ISO- 800 This shoot taught me a lot about shooting backlit and working with the exposure. I had to play around a lot with editing in Photoshop too to get just the right, well-edited image. This shoot was super fun to do because I've never done this "formal" photography.

I really liked your photographs! I love how the black and white compliments the photos. The only thing you could improve upon is paying attention to digital noise.
